🔹It monopolizes both hands. Interaction with the environment is limited (e.g. carrying an object).
🔹Distances are shorter than outdoors. Walking indoors is less tiring. The rollator gives too much help. No need to sit on it when I can sit on a chair at home.
🔹The floor is flat and there is furniture/walls to stand on. The person often doesn’t need that much help.

🔹Continue to use the walker indoors.
🔹Use a classic cane (which has to be lifted with every step and falls to the ground when dropped against furniture). Comfort is often reduced.
🔹Don’t use anything. The person will then lean on all the furniture and walls. Risk is increased and comfort is reduced.
✅ Admittedly, it gives less assistance than a rollatot, but it’s still sufficient given the environment (indoors, flat floor, short distance, …).
✅ It frees up one hand to interact with the environment (open a door, pick up an object, …)

✅ It stays upright when released (to wash hands, cut fruit, …)
✅ It offers the same type of assistance as a rollator (constant support, does not need to be lifted).
