On this page, we try to compile information on reimbursement possibilities in France, Belgium and elsewhere.
Since January 1, 2024, Wheeleo®️ (number 113101000013) has been partially reimbursed by your mutual insurance company and Iriscare. Contact your nearest medical equipment retailer to purchase a Wheeleo®️ and receive a refund.
Indication of reimbursement:
“The Wheeleo®️ is reimbursed for a user who has lost the use of one of his upper limbs. The user has a severe functional impairment of one of his/her upper limbs, which prevents him/her from using a walking frame. The user requires stable and secure support when standing or walking.”
To obtain reimbursement from Wheeleo®️, a motivational report from a health professional at a rehabilitation center must be attached to the application.

Wheeleo® is not currently reimbursed by Aviq. The process is underway and should be completed by early 2025. Financial assistance is available for those in good standing.
Wheeleo® is not currently reimbursed in Flanders.
Since September 2024, Wheeleo® has been reimbursed in France. It is now part of the LPPR (Liste des Produits et Prestations Remboursables).
Practical information for prescribing :
The Maison Départementale pour les Personnes Handicapées (MDPH ) and certain mutual insurance funds can help you purchase Wheeleo®️. Ask them for more information. Subject to age and loss of autonomy, you can also obtain theApa.
Wheeleo® is supplied by SMA. A medical prescription is required.

In most cases, when there is a refund, it is necessary to contact an approved medical equipment retailera medical prescription. A motivational report from a healthcare professional attesting to a positive test is sometimes required (e.g. Brussels). Purchasing from our Wheeleo.eu webshop does not entitle you to a refund, even if you enter the correct details.
