Height adjustments

High position: Balance

The Wheeleo®’s high position limits weight-bearing while helping balance.
Placed naturally forward and to the side, it provides proprioceptive information and improves statics, bringing us closer to unassisted walking.

Low position: Discharge

The handle’s low position allows you to lean heavily on the Wheeleo®.
The arm is biomechanically well positioned.
The Wheeleo® is positioned close to the body.

By leaning further back on the Wheeleo® , users lighten their body weight, reducing the load on the opposite leg, which helps with pain and weakness.

Universal handle

The handle supplied with the Wheeleo® is universal and ambidextrous, offering optimum comfort for all users.

Balanced wheels

Since 2022, the Wheeleo® has been equipped with 100mm wheels, free to rotate 360°.
These castors offer the possibility of having a constant support on the ground, while moving.

4 points of contact

Wheeleo® has 4 points of contact with the ground to improve stability.

FAQ

There’s no brake, and that’s much better!

An important feature of the Wheeleo® is that there’s no need for brakes. Thanks to its castors, the Wheeleo® will always be in the right place for its user. In the event of loss of balance, the user will spontaneously move the Wheeleo® to the most convenient position to regain balance, without lifting it. Adding brakes would mean replacing the wheels with plugs, as the brakes block the wheels. As a result, the Wheeleo® would wobble and the user would fall.

The idea that the Wheeleo® rolls when you lean on it is a misconception. Sitting on a chair with castors, you put all your weight on it. The chair never moves. It’s the same with Wheeleo®.

100% of users will confirm that brakes are not necessary and that the Wheeleo® gives them all the stability they need for improved walking quality.

Explanation: Wheeleo®️, no brake?

Wheeleo® is designed for indoor and outdoor use on flat surfaces. So it’s important to pay attention to soil quality. Wheeleo® can be used in many parks, shopping centers, parking lots and sidewalks. It’s important that the wheels can turn freely. The size of the wheels makes it possible to overcome small obstacles. For larger obstacles or places where the wheels cannot turn freely, simply lift the Wheeleo®.

  • Or as a crutch if you need to unload your opposite lower limb (pain, weakness ++, …). Wheeleo®️ will be close to you.
  • Either as high as possible to help you maintain your balance without putting too much pressure on the handle. The Wheeleo®️ will then be further away from you.

Don’t hesitate to test several heights to find the one that suits you best. Ask a healthcare professional to accompany you.

Wheeleo®️ is a Belgian innovation invented by Geoffroy Dellicour, a physiotherapist for over 20 years at the William Lennox Neurological Hospital. Wheeleo®️ is made in Belgium. It is completely assembled at Entre Group, an adapted work company in Heppignies.

The four-wheeled walker provides continuous support while allowing the user to lean on it. However, he needs both hands to use it. You also need room to maneuver. Opening a door with the help of a walker is a relatively complex task. It’s not uncommon for people to abandon their walker at the entrance to their home and move around unaided, simply because it’s too cumbersome.

The Wheeleo®️ takes up the main advantage of the four-wheeled walker, i.e. the possibility of leaning on it while moving, but with a smaller footprint. The Wheeleo®️ enables its user to move around safely in the tightest of spaces (entrance hall, kitchen, toilet, bedroom at home or in MR/MRS, etc.). It’s autonomous and stays in motion.

Classic canes, tripods, quadripods… all have the same characteristic: they no longer provide any assistance when lifted to be moved forward. About 50% of the time, the rod is in the air. Even more so when changing direction.

With Wheeleo®️, we offer our users continuous support! Thanks to its wheels, the user can position it where it helps best, while leaning against it.

Another important feature is that Wheeleo®️ stands on its own, even when bumped. This is not the case for a conventional rod. As a result, it is always at its user’s side, like a faithful companion, always ready to help.

Yes.

The Wheeleo®️ has a handle that can be adjusted between 77.5 cm and 101.5 cm. Children over 1m20 can use Wheeleo®️.

Both of them!

The Wheeleo® will accompany its user in his daily life as well as helping him in his rehabilitation.

In everyday life, the Wheeleo® is a real companion, accompanying its user everywhere. He stands next to him, helping him in the smallest of spaces, such as an entrance hall, a kitchen, a dining room or even a toilet.

During rehabilitation, Wheeleo® enables spontaneous, early adoption of a more normal gait. This allows us to move more quickly, and thus promote faster recovery.

It’s not really a question of inside or outside. Attention must be paid to the type of cladding. It is important that the Wheeleo® wheels are able to turn freely. That’s how it helps the most.

Its use on grass, gravel or thick carpet is therefore not recommended. The Wheeleo® must be lifted with each step if the user wishes to cross this type of surface.

Similarly, if the user encounters an obstacle (a curb, a loose paving stone, etc.), he or she can simply lift the Wheeleo® to clear the obstacle, and then resume walking by rolling the Wheeleo®.

No.

Wheeleo® is ultra-intuitive to use. From the very first steps, the user will position it where it best helps him. Using a conventional cane requires a certain amount of coordination and attention. It’s the same with a walker, which you need to learn how to handle, especially in tight spaces (bedroom, hall, door opening, etc.). Wheeleo® sweeps away all these constraints, allowing users to concentrate on their activity and the outside world.

No.

To move the Wheeleo® sideways, you need to make a lateral movement. If you make the same movement with a conventional cane, the cane tips over and you fall. The Wheeleo® will move without tipping over. It positions itself where the user needs it most to maintain balance. If you stumble, you’ll naturally position your hands to catch yourself. It’s exactly the same with Wheeleo®.
